Sarasota, FL – January 10, 2025 – Baird, Inc. proudly announces the acquisition of 1400 and 1410 Main Street in the heart of downtown Sarasota. The transaction comes as the fourth between Sarasota Entrepreneurs Eric Baird and Chris Brown in the Downtown Bayfront within the last several months approaching close to $25M in total. Both Baird and Brown have shared a love for Downtown Sarasota and have called it home for the last few decades. “It’s emotional selling some of these properties, but Eric and his team make the transition really simple and do exactly what they say. When I decide to liquidate another property in downtown, Eric will be the first person I call.” said Chris Brown.
1400 Main Street will soon be home to an exciting new venture in partnership with Damn Good Hospitality and their Warrens concept – a tribute to family, fine-dining and whiskey with two other locations open in Naples and Del Ray. 1410 Main Street will continue to partner with Sunburn, another best-in-class operator in the medical marijuana industry. “We’re thrilled to partner with Warrens and Sunburn to bring even more energy and vibrancy to our incredible downtown community.” said Tyler Oakley, CFO of Baird, Inc.
This acquisition expands Baird, Inc’s presence on Main Street. In 2020, Baird, Inc. purchased the Historic Kress Building. The building currently houses Baird, Inc.’s offices however management is seeking an end user for the remainder of the building. The recent acquisition extends their holdings to the corner of the iconic Five Points on Downtown Sarasota’s Main Street.
