Eric Baird is an experienced entrepreneur and CEO who has focused his career on driving growth and profitability for his companies and that of his portfolio companies. His experience began in 1997, when he created AccessUSA with the vision of empowering international consumers the ability to shop and save from US catalogues and retailers. The company thrived under Eric Baird’s leadership experiencing 85% average year-over-year growth every year from 1997 – 2012. In July of 2012, on his 43rd birthday, Eric Baird sold his interest in AccessUSA to a private equity firm based in West Palm Beach, Florida. Since then, Eric has funneled his entrepreneurial drive into Baird Inc., and the Gail Baird Foundation.
Eric received a Bachelor of Science, Finance from the University of Arizona.
Tyler Oakley is a Certified Public Accountant with over six years of experience in public accounting providing tax and consulting services to clients in a wide variety of industries, including, but not limited to, real estate and construction. While serving as a tax advisor, his primary focus was serving closely held businesses and their owners. While serving in this capacity, he began working more closely with the Baird Inc. leadership team. That relationship developed into an offer to join the organization in 2020. Since then, his role has shifted towards accounting for the tax, financial reporting, capital budgeting, investment underwriting and corporate structure of the organizations investments specifically in the real estate, private equity, and secured lending spaces.
Tyler attended University of Central Florida and received a Bachelor of Science, Accounting and a Master of Science, Accounting. Tyler is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Caroline has been a senior accountant at Baird Inc. for the past five years, where she oversees financial reporting, payroll administration, human resources, and real estate asset management. She plays a pivotal role in maintaining the financial health and operational efficiency of the organization’s real estate portfolio, providing strategic oversight and leadership.
Since joining the team, Caroline has developed extensive expertise in financial management, tax compliance, and business operations. In addition to her core responsibilities, Caroline assists in estate planning and wealth preservation strategies, ensuring the seamless management and transition of assets across generations. Her expertise supports the family office in structuring tax-efficient plans and optimizing financial strategies to safeguard long-term wealth.
Caroline earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Bachelor of Business Administration, Finance from the University of Kentucky.
Driven professional leader with ten years of experience in business operations, marketing, and staff management. Eduardo has served in a multitude of fund-raising efforts within the Sarasota community which span art, health, and animal philanthropic causes which he now utilizes while representing the Gail Baird Foundation. He brings a wealth of knowledge and insight to the multifaceted enterprises at Baird Inc.
Eduardo received a Bachelor of Business Administration and Management from the State College of Florida.
Alec Tamilia is a Staff Accountant at Baird, Inc., having joined the organization in 2025. In this role, he supports the finance and accounting team with a primary focus on financial reporting and organizational accounting. Alec contributes to maintaining the accuracy, transparency, and efficiency of the firm’s financial operations.
Prior to joining Baird, Alec gained one year of experience in the insurance and accounting industries, where he developed skills in financial analysis, reporting, and compliance. This experience, combined with his academic background, has provided him with a strong foundation in both finance and accounting.
Alec earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance with a minor in Business Analytics from Florida State University and went on to complete a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the University of South Florida.
McKenzie has spent the past two summers interning at the family business, Baird, Inc., where she supports the finance and accounting team in real estate management and financial reporting. With a strong interest in real estate, McKenzie is developing a well-rounded skill set that blends analytical expertise with strategic marketing insights. Her internship provides valuable exposure to the complexities of wealth preservation, strategic asset allocation, and the sophisticated financial structures involved in managing a large-scale family office portfolio.
She also serves as board member for Baird, Inc.’s nonprofit foundation, the Gail Baird Foundation, honoring her grandmother’s legacy. The foundation is dedicated to supporting female entrepreneurs, ovarian cancer research, and veterans, causes that reflect her family’s deep-rooted commitment to philanthropy and community impact.
McKenzie is currently attending the University of South Carolina, pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration, Marketing (2026).
